Our Mission
For over 35 years, we have proudly served the Asian community with dedication and care. With three locations, we are one of the largest ophthalmology practices catering to the Asian population in the United States. All of our staff members are fluent in at least two languages and most were raised in, and continue to live within, the Asian community. We share a collective passion and commitment to providing state-of-the-art eye care in a culturally relevant and respectful manner.
Dr. Fong has is recognized as a leading expert in LASIK, EVO and cataract surgery, particularly for Asian eyes. More than 75% of our patients are Asian, primarily Chinese and Korean, representing a diverse cross-section of the community. On any given day, our waiting room might host a wide array of individuals, from waiters to bankers, judges, and garment factory workers. We take pride in this diversity and strive to deliver the same level of personalized care to everyone.
Our practice is not limited to serving only the Asian community. Approximately 25% of our patients are Caucasian, Black, or Hispanic, including many who come from Wall Street firms, nearby court offices, SoHo, and the Upper East and West Sides. For these patients, the background of the doctor is secondary; what they seek is top-tier care.
Additionally, around 10% of our LASIK patients travel from outside New York State, coming from places as far as Massachusetts, Georgia, South Carolina, California, and Texas, as well as international locations like Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, Korea, and France.

Personal Statement
Born in Hong Kong and raised in New York City’s Chinatown, where both of my parents worked tirelessly in garment factories six days a week, I have a deep understanding of the challenges many of my patients face. It is a privilege to return and serve this community that shaped me. On a personal level, this community is more than just where I work—it is my home.
There is no greater professional joy than caring for my friends and their families: parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and children. This community is my family, and in my practice, each patient is treated as such.
